Overview

Wisconsin supports evidence-based literacy instruction through early intervention, educator development, and strong family-school partnerships. As districts work to improve reading outcomes and strengthen literacy instruction, they need solutions that improve student outcomes while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative helps districts improve student outcomes through evidence-based intervention, family engagement, and educator support that complement Wisconsin's priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Universal literacy screening, progress monitoring, and Personal Reading Plans (PRPs)

    District-selected, DPI-approved screening data supports goal setting, ongoing family communication, and actionable Student Action Plans that bring PRPs to life.

  • Science of Reading instruction, targeted intervention, and strong literacy systems

    Tier 2/3 structured literacy support reinforces foundational skills while strengthening district MTSS implementation.

  • Family partnership and intensive literacy support for struggling readers

    Interactive family workshops, bilingual communication tools, high-impact tutoring, afterschool programming, summer learning opportunities, and in-school support help districts extend literacy learning beyond the classroom.

    Supports science-of-reading aligned professional learning, literacy instruction, educator development, assessments, and implementation of statewide literacy requirements.

  • Achievement Gap Reduction (AGR)

    Funds evidence-based intervention, small-group instruction, coaching, and targeted academic support designed to accelerate student achievement.

  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

    Supports afterschool, summer learning, literacy acceleration, and family engagement opportunities.

  • School Improvement Funding (Section 1003)

    Funds evidence-based intervention, educator coaching, tutoring, family engagement, and school improvement initiatives.

  • Per-Pupil Categorical Aid

    Provides flexible funding that districts may use to support evidence-based intervention, educator development, family engagement, and student support services.

  • Equalization Aid

    Supports district priorities through flexible funding that may be used for literacy, intervention, educator support, and student services.

  • Bilingual-Bicultural Aid

    Funds literacy acceleration, family engagement, and instructional support for multilingual learners.

  • Federal Funding

    Federal funding sources, including Title I, II, III, IV, IDEA, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers, may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, family engagement, and expanded learning opportunities.
