Overview

The Tennessee Literacy Success Act reinforces the state's focus on evidence-based literacy instruction, early intervention, educator development, and family engagement. As districts work to implement these priorities and improve reading outcomes, they need solutions that improve student outcomes while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative helps districts improve student outcomes through evidence-based intervention, family engagement, and educator support that complement Tennessee's priorities.

  • Universal reading screening, progress monitoring, and family communication for K-3 students

    We provide bilingual Student Action Plans that translate screening data into actionable next steps for families.

  • Science-of-reading instruction and evidence-based intervention for students with reading difficulties

    We deliver Tier 2/3 literacy support that reinforces foundational skills while aligning with district instructional materials and RTI² frameworks.

  • Third-grade promotion pathways require tutoring and summer support

    We provide high-dosage tutoring, structured family engagement, and summer literacy programming that complement district intervention efforts.

  • Required 4th Grade and Retained Student Tutoring Funding

    Supports state-funded high-dosage tutoring and evidence-based intervention designed to help students meet grade-level expectations.

  • Learning Loss Remediation and Acceleration Act / Literacy Success Act

    Funds evidence-based intervention, tutoring, summer learning, family engagement, and science-of-reading aligned instruction.

  • Tennessee Investment in Student Achievement (TISA) Weighted Funding

    Provides flexible funding to support evidence-based intervention, tutoring, educator support, and services for students with additional academic needs.

  • Reading 360

    Supports literacy-focused professional learning, instructional resources, and science-of-reading implementation efforts.

  • School Improvement Funding (§1003)

    Funds evidence-based intervention, educator coaching, and school improvement strategies designed to accelerate student achievement.

    Federal funding sources, including Title I, II, III, IV, IDEA, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers, may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, family engagement, and expanded learning opportunities.
