Overview

Ohio's literacy priorities include evidence-based instruction, early identification, structured intervention, and meaningful family engagement to improve reading outcomes. As districts work to strengthen literacy instruction and support students at every stage of learning, they are looking for approaches that improve student outcomes while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative supports those efforts through evidence-based intervention, meaningful family engagement, and educator support aligned with Ohio's education priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Literacy screening, progress monitoring, and Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans (RIMPs)

    We provide bilingual Student Action Plans that support goal setting, family communication, and student progress.

    We deliver Tier 2/3 literacy support that strengthens foundational skills and intervention efforts.

    Provides flexible funding for evidence-based intervention, reading improvement, tutoring, educator development, and support services for students with the greatest academic needs.

  • Student Wellness and Success Funds (SWSF)

    Supports family engagement, mentoring, student support services, before- and after-school programming, and community-based partnerships.

  • HB 33 Science of Reading Professional Development and ReadOhio

    Funds science-of-reading aligned professional learning, literacy materials, educator stipends, and literacy coaching initiatives.

  • Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD)

    Supports evidence-based literacy instruction, intervention, educator development, and family engagement initiatives from birth through grade 12.

  • Literacy Coaches

    Provides intensive literacy coaching and educator support designed to strengthen science-of-reading implementation.

  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

    Supports afterschool, summer learning, literacy acceleration, and family engagement opportunities.

  • School Improvement Funding and Community Connectors

    Funds evidence-based intervention, mentoring, educator development, family engagement, and school improvement initiatives.

  • Expanding Opportunities for Each Child (EOEC)

    Supports school improvement efforts, family and community engagement, and evidence-based strategies that improve student outcomes.

  • Federal Funding

    Federal funding sources, including Title I, II, III, IV, IDEA, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers, may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, family engagement, and expanded learning opportunities.
