Michigan's new literacy requirements focus on dyslexia screening, evidence-based instruction, structured literacy, and meaningful family-school partnerships. As districts prepare to implement these priorities, they are looking for approaches that improve student outcomes while supporting struggling readers and engaging families as active partners in learning. Springboard Collaborative supports those efforts through evidence-based intervention, meaningful family engagement, and educator support aligned with Michigan's literacy priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Early identification and universal K-3 dyslexia screening beginning in 2027

    We support districts through structured, phonics-based tutoring and family-friendly progress reporting that help identify and support struggling readers.

  • Evidence-based interventions within Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks

    We provide in-school, after-school, and summer literacy support that complements district intervention efforts accelerating student growth.

  • Educator preparation requirements related to dyslexia and structured literacy

    We complement these efforts through job-embedded coaching and literacy support aligned to evidence-based reading practices.

  • Recognition of the critical role families play in supporting literacy development

    Our Family-Educator Learning Accelerator (FELA) model equips families with practical tools, workshops, and ongoing support that extend literacy learning beyond the classroom.
