Overview

Kentucky's Read to Succeed Act (SB 9) reinforces the state's focus on structured literacy, universal screening, dyslexia identification, and meaningful family-school partnerships. As districts implement these priorities, they need solutions that improve student outcomes while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative helps districts improve student outcomes through evidence-based intervention, family engagement, and educator support that complement Kentucky's literacy priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Universal literacy and dyslexia screening along with ongoing progress monitoring

    We use district-approved screening tools and provide bilingual Student Action Plans that help families understand student progress and support reading growth at home.

  • Evidence-based literacy instruction, structured literacy, and MTSS-aligned intervention

    We deliver in-school Tier 2/3 support along with before-school, after-school, and summer programming that reinforce foundational reading skills.

  • High-quality instructional resources and strong family-school partnerships

    We complement district-selected instructional materials while providing family workshops, home-reading routines, bilingual communication tools, and progress updates that strengthen shared ownership of student outcomes.

Funding Opportunities

  • Kentucky Comprehensive Literacy (KyCL25) Funding

    Supports structured literacy implementation, MTSS systems, educator development, family engagement, and evidence-based literacy initiatives.

  • Read to Succeed Funding

    May support literacy screening, dyslexia-aligned intervention, evidence-based instruction, and Reading Improvement Plan implementation.

  • Read to Achieve (RTA) Grants

    Provides funding for Tier 2/3 intervention, diagnostics, progress monitoring, and literacy acceleration efforts.

  • Federal Title I, II, III, IV, and IDEA Funding

    Flexible funding streams that may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, family engagement, and extended learning opportunities.
