Overview

Arizona's Move On When Reading initiative emphasizes early screening, evidence-based instruction, targeted intervention, and strong family-school partnerships to help more students read proficiently by third grade. As districts work to improve reading outcomes and implement these priorities, they are looking for approaches that accelerate student learning while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative supports those efforts through evidence-based intervention, meaningful family engagement, and educator support aligned with Arizona's education priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Universal literacy and dyslexia screening for K-3 students

    We use district-selected screening data and provide bilingual Student Action Plans that help families understand student progress and support reading growth at home.

  • Evidence-based instruction and targeted intervention

    We deliver in-school tutoring using Future Forward's method of Tier 2/3 support along with after-school and summer literacy programming that reinforce foundational reading skills.

  • Emphasis on family communication, read-at-home strategies, and family engagement

    We provide family workshops, reading strategies, and bilingual communication tools that strengthen shared ownership of student student outcomes.

  • Move On When Reading (MOWR) Funding

    Supports evidence-based literacy instruction, intervention, screening, and family engagement efforts for K-3 students.

  • Early Literacy Grant (ELG)

    Provides funding for structured literacy initiatives, targeted intervention, and literacy acceleration programs.

  • Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Funding

    May support evidence-based intervention, educator development, family engagement, and implementation of evidence-based literacy practices.

  • Federal Title I, II, III, and IDEA Funding

    Flexible funding streams that may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, and family engagement.
